DDS Training is the leader in Dental CPR & BLS
certification. Our unique training programs show dental professionals how to effectively manage dental medical
emergencies as a team. All of our programs meet or exceed AGD, ADA, & state Dental Board training
requirements.
Our Dental CPR & BLS certificaton course include the
following topics:
-
Establishment of an Emergency Response Team (ERT)
-
General Information Related to Emergency Equipment
-
Initial Assessment of the Patient
-
Airway Management, Including Choking Management
-
Rescue Breathing (using a Bag-Valve-Mask)
-
1 & 2 Person CPR
-
AED
-
Oxygen Administration (optional program; additional fees apply)
-
Bloodborne Pathogens (optional program; additional fees apply)
Additional features of our Dental CPR & BLS certification prgram include:
- Flexible blened training format (blend of online and classroom training). Online portions of the
course cover the "required" BLS for Healthcare Provider skills material and testing requirements.
Classroom based portion includes hands-on skills testing (CPR & AED skills), and general
information on management of dental medical emergency training, and mock emergency drills unique to the
dental practice.
- Learn CPR & BLS skills with fellow dental professionals only. Offering our program to dental
professionals only allows us to tailor the program specifically for dental practices rather than having to
"cover all the bases" as a typical hospital BLS class delivered to a mixed group of medical
professionals would require.
Our CPR & BLS training program meet the 2005 ECC standards set by ILCOR and the American Heart
Association for BLS certification training. All of our programs also meet or exceed state and national dental board
and Academy of General Dentistry requirements, along with the recommendations of the American Dental Hygienists'
Association and the American Dental Association. Our Dental CPR & BLS program is an excellent foundation on
which to build your knowledge of dental medical emergency management skills. Additionally, it is a prerequisite to
enrolling in our ACLS for
Dentistry program.
Afterwards, we encourage you to keep your skills fresh and to continue expanding your professional knowledge
with our dental continuing
education courses.
